A Day in Nature with Cancer Support WA

What do you get when you’re blessed with a very special group of people, coming together in the happy hills of Hovea, all in the name of meditation and wellness? It’s called ‘A day in nature’ with Cancer Support WA and it’s the magical day we were lucky enough to enjoy last Friday, 17th October.

Starting the day with meditation always helps to relax the body and bring stillness to the mind so after a beautiful group meditation, and a light morning tea (with some ‘oh-so-scrumptious’ Blue Body bliss balls), we then practised some energy breathing techniques – helping us to recharge with fresh prana (life energy). We sat down shortly after for a raw, vegan, gluten-free and mostly organic lunch to bring love and nurturing to the body. Lunch was lovingly prepared by our in-house chef, Charles and included a Quinoa Salad, Beetroot Salad, Cabbage Salad, Raw Nori Rolls and some fermented Macaroni Cheese on the side! Nommm nommm nommm!!! We then had two options to wrap-up the day – a relaxing sound healing session with Chiu Chi or a short walk in John Forest National Park as guided by  our fellow ‘Blue Body-ians’ Christel and Charles. Such bliss!

Saying goodbyes are never easy for the Blue Body team so as the day drew to a close, and we waved farewell to this special group, our hearts and minds were working overtime starting to plan for a time soon to share another day with the beautiful people from Cancer Support WA.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Blue Body. x

Oooh and a massive thank you to the lovely Mike (Cancer Support WA) who kindly contributed many of the pics for this post!
